November is a great time to find yourself in Hilton Head, South Carolina. What’s great about a trip to the island and its surroundings is that it’s still warm enough to do some of the outdoor activities you might not be able to do farther north in November. But, it’s also a great time to start thinking ahead to the holiday season as well. Here are a few things you might want to try this November.
The Concours d’Elegance Festival
Kick off the month by attending one of the biggest events that the island hosts each year. This motor vehicle exhibit highlights exceptional automobiles and airplanes like you’ve never seen before.
The Hilton Head Oyster Festival
The Lowcountry is known for its Southern-cooked food – especially seafood. In Hilton Head, the specialty is oysters. So if you happen to be in the neighborhood the weekend of November 12-13, you can’t miss this opportunity to sample the best of the best and have some fun enjoying the outdoors as well.
The Hilton Head Lantern Parade
Another unique opportunity you can only get in Hilton Head falls on November 13th this year. Come to Coligny Beach Park at sunset to enjoy watching the lantern parade. Or, bring your own lantern and join in!
The Nutcracker Performance
November is a great time to start getting into the holiday mood. Nothing does that better than watching the Nutcracker ballet. Come and watch at the Seahawk Cultural Center between November 12-13 or 20-21 for a matinee or an evening show.
Whether you choose to enjoy the waning warm weather outside or prepare for Hilton Head in November inside, the beach in South Carolina holds many opportunities that you won’t find anywhere else.
