Most people try to try new restaurants when they’re on vacation. You don’t want to eat the same things you have back home, do you? Even if you’re an island regular, we’ve got several new Hilton Head restaurants you can try this summer. So if you don’t know where to go for dinner, here are six new spots you probably haven’t heard of yet!

Captain Jax

Named after the owner’s pet chihuahua, Captain Jax says they are your one-stop shop for geek culture and sweet treats. From comics to mini pancakes, and boba tea and beyond, if you need a new spot to satisfy your sweet tooth, this is the place to be.

The Bank

If a cigar and whiskey lounge is more your vibe, The Bank’s new lounge Bank Rolls is a good start. Relax in style and fill up on a Bank Heist burger or a gourmet hot dog from Ben Franks.

Joelle

For authentic Italian cuisine in a bright, modern setting, the new Italian spot Joelle is perfecto! It’s hard to recommend just one thing, but any of their gourmet pizzas is always a win.

Cantarito Mexican Kitchen

If you’d rather have authentic Mexican cuisine instead, newly opened Cantarito Mexican Kitchen is what you’re looking for. They have an extensive menu and fantastic service, so go grab a margarita with the girls and make a night of it!

Griddle & Grits

What was once The Old Schoolhouse Restaurant in Port Royal is now Griddle & Grits. Rumor has it, the only thing that changed here is the name so now you don’t have to worry about missing their delicious food.

Magnolia Café

Another rebranded restaurant with a new head chef bringing a new menu to a local favorite is Magnolia Café. Their menu is perfect brunch fare, so be sure to bring along a designated driver or plan ahead to use Uber or Lyft so you can enjoy a few of their signature Magnolia Mimosas.

Now that these new Hilton Head restaurants have brunch and dinner covered, make plans to check out some live music or go shopping. We hope you enjoy your time here in Hilton Head!
