Once the calendar flips to March, we tend to get very excited about the prospect of spring arriving. Until we realize just how long this month is. We still have to wait three more weeks until spring officially starts—and even the big basketball tournament—so what can we do until then? If you happen to be in Hilton Head, there’s plenty to do to keep you busy until spring really hits.

For the Sports Fan:

The NCAA tournament starts on March 13th, and you want to be found somewhere that you can follow along. Bring your bracket along any one of these bars to follow along while you’re here in Hilton Head.

If you want to get in a little exercise of your own, be sure to rent a bike and take in the miles and miles of bike trails on Hilton Head Island. When you’re feeling the burn, then stop in to one of the pubs and shout along for your favorite teams.

For the Foodie:

There are some people for whom the arrival of March has nothing to do with hoops or even anything athletic. These are probably the people who are flocking to Hilton Head for the famous Wingfest event that the Island has hosted for the past 19 years.

If you are more interested in some fine beverage with your food, however, then you won’t want to miss the Hilton Head Island Wine and Food Festival. Beyond the award-winning wines and perfectly paired hors d’oeuvres, you can experience hands-on cooking classes as well. And it’s all to support a great cause—the John and Valerie Curry Educational Scholarship Fund.

So whether March means wings or wine, or sports to play or watch, when you come to Hilton Head this season, you’re bound to find what you’re looking for.
