If you like food – and who doesn’t? – but also have an affinity for the right accompanying beverage, make sure you plan your vacation to Hilton Head for the 3rd week in September this year. It is reasonable to hope that the world will have returned to a place where we can once again enjoy a festival with food, wine, and other people by that time, and Hilton Head intends to make it worth your time. Here’s what to expect:
Food
Dinner the opening evening at the festival is a high-class affair that will be a perfect take off to the week of jubilee ahead. Though, while the first night gives you a taste of the best of the area’s top chefs and restaurants, the rest of the week offers tastings of many other classics from around the island. The concluding food event is a breakfast (with some bubbly!) to make sure you have had a taste of every meal Hilton Head offers.
Wine
You aren’t just going to be tasting wine at this festival; you’ll be tasting award-winning wines. And while, yes, wine goes wonderfully with food, it also pairs beautifully with good music, which you will be able to experience throughout the event. If you are one to take your beverage with you as you go, go, go, you may enjoy the Sip and Stroll one afternoon. Several other tasting events will be sure to keep you entertained and not thirsty.
Other Events
While all of the events center around the central theme of food and wine, organizers have been working hard to make sure they’ve included some fun in there for you too. You’ll be sharing hors d’oevres with new friends, dancing on rooftops, and watching movies through the week. Check in to see what else they have planned.
So, open your calendar and mark the dates (September 16th – 19th). Book a reservation for the week now, before your favorite resort is all booked up. Take a day for after the festival as well. You’ll need that to rent a bike and work off everything you ate!
