Many families have started traveling for the Thanksgiving holiday instead of hosting a never-ending stream of visitors for a thankless dinner that they’ll be stuck cleaning up after as well. If you’re one of those families, might we suggest a Thanksgiving stay in Hilton Head? There are plenty of restaurants serving Thanksgiving dinner here on the island, and we’ve compiled an up-to-date guide to make things even easier for you!
Alexander’s Restaurant & Wine Bar
For an upscale Thanksgiving experience, head to Alexander’s for their prix fixe Thanksgiving feast. With courses that include Butternut Squash Bisque, Herb Roasted Turkey, or even a 12oz Prime Rib, your whole family will walk away just as stuffed as they would if you’d spent two days cooking your own Thanksgiving spread. But this time, you don’t have to clean up the mess. With a menu like that, spots are sure to go fast, so be sure to make your reservations now!
Old Oyster Factory
Over at the Old Oyster Factory, they’re offering a four-course Thanksgiving meal that perfectly reflects their commitment to Hilton Head traditions. Appetizer options include Oysters and Crab Cakes, but the real test will come when you have to choose between their Oven-Roasted Turkey, Roast Prime Rib, or Grilled North Atlantic Salmon for your entrée. They’ll be serving from 12pm until 7pm, but it’s recommended to make a reservation now!
Fish Camp on Broad Creek
If you’ve been waiting for a Thanksgiving menu with Lowcountry dishes instead of the usual fare, Fish Camp on Broad Creek is what you’re looking for. Sure, they’ve got turkey on the menu, but since it’s a Turkey Roulade, it has that Lowcountry flair you want. They also have the traditional Lowcountry Boil as well as Braised Short Ribs and Parmesan Pesto Halibut to choose from. Make your reservations now to indulge in this Lowcountry Thanksgiving feast!
Vagabond Cruise
For something a little “extra” special, Vagabond Cruise is offering two Harbour Town Thanksgiving Cruises, one leaving at 12pm and the other at 5pm. Not only will you get to see the best views of the Lowcountry, but their harvest menu will also be prepared by the award-winning chefs from Sea Pines Resort.
Pickup Options
Not everyone wants to go out on Thanksgiving, and we didn’t forget about that when making this guide. Kenny B’s, a locally- and family-owned Cajun seafood restaurant, has two dinner packages (Package One serves 7-8, Package Two serves 3-4) that you can order ahead and pick up on Thanksgiving Day. Over at the Sea Pines Resort, several on-site restaurants are serving special holiday dining options, but the resort also offers a la carte Thanksgiving dinners to go that will be available for pickup at the Harbour Town Clubhouse on Thanksgiving Day.
Now that you know Thanksgiving dinner is covered, what other excuses are keeping you from booking a vacation in Hilton Head for the holidays?
