With many things shut down to slow the spread of the current global pandemic, many events have been canceled. However, if you’re heading to Hilton Head for vacation this fall, don’t think for a second that you’ll be missing out. There are still plenty of events to keep you hopping!
September 5, 2020, The Sandbox
Although it’s technically still summer, this is a free event you won’t want to miss if you have kids aged 5 and under. It’s a great opportunity to get to know the people at The Sandbox, while the kids enjoy face-painting, S.T.E.A.M. activities, and plenty more.
October 7, 2020, Zion Cemetery
Nothing gets you more in the mood for Halloween than ghost stories, especially when they’re being told graveside…and in the dark. Head over to Hilton Head’s oldest cemetery at 7:30 pm beginning October 7ththrough November for this event that is sponsored by the Heritage Library Foundation. The cost for this event is $25 for adults and $20 for kids (ages 8-16). Not recommended for children under age eight.
November 7, 2020, Adler Lane Beach Access
You may know that Hilton Head has a ban on neon lights in order to preserve the natural look and feel of the island. But that doesn’t mean all lights are banned! What will be more beautiful than a celebration of light and culture as participants parade the island with lanterns representing their heritage? Come out at 5:45 on November 7th to see for yourself.
