Hilton Head IrishFest

What originally started as the Hilton Head Island St. Patrick’s Day Parade back in 1983 has since expanded into one of the island’s most beloved annual events. The festivities begin on March 16th with an Irish concert at Lowcountry Celebration Park, with the parade following the next day down Pope Ave at 3pm. In a town of around 40,000 permanent residents, up to 25k now attend the parade every year.

Do you LOVE chicken wings? Have you been searching for a festival that celebrates your love of this tiny, yet flavorful treat? Look no further! Come to Lowcountry Celebration Park on Saturday, March 23rd from 11-5 for Wingfest. There will be 20-25 restaurants cooking upwards of 6,500 lbs of chicken wings at this family-friendly event. There will be live music, a wing-eating contest, bobbing for wings for the kids, and so much more. You won’t want to miss it!

Hilton Head Golf Tournaments

Hilton Head is very well known for its many award-winning golf courses, so it should come as no surprise that several tournaments are on the schedule here throughout the year.

Darius Rucker Intercollegiate

Yes, THAT Darius Rucker. Mr. Hootie & the Blowfish partnered with two golf coaches to combine music and collegiate golf in an event that has championed women since 2012. The Darius Rucker Intercollegiate has called the Long Cove Club home since the beginning, given how far they go to make every event spectacular. This year’s event runs from March 4th through the 6th, and spectators can attend for free!

RBC Heritage

The 56th Annual RBC Heritage PGA Tournament kicks off on April 15th and runs through the 21st. When the tournament started in 1969, Hilton Head was just a tiny Lowcountry treasure that was a well-kept secret outside the locals. Just like the island, this event has grown over the years to have quite an impact on the economic vitality of the island community.

Whether you come for the food or the fun, Hilton Head has it all. Book your Spring beach vacation today!
