At the end of 2020, many were hoping 2021 would bring a fresh, new start to an end to the pandemic. Unfortunately, at the end of 2021, we are still hoping for the same. In Hilton Head, there hasn’t been too much that needed improving, but that doesn’t mean we still didn’t try! Many of your favorite events returned in the past year, and many long-standing favorite places have remained going strong. But there’s always room for more fun on the island. Read on to see what’s new in Hilton Head in 2022.
Eateries
For the past fourteen years, the Hilton Head Chamber of Commerce has hosted Restaurant Week in Hilton Head and Bluffton. This event, held in 2022 from January 29 – February 5, is the perfect way to introduce yourself to new dining experiences. New restaurants are set to debut, while you can also taste some of your favorites from the establishments you have already grown to love.
Charlifest Festival
One new event for 2022 is Charlifest, happening on January 15 from noon to 4 pm. Celebrating Charli Bobinchuck, Hilton Head native, the event will feature music, art, and food to show the spirit of the community.
Mountainfilm on Tour
Film buffs can rejoice that Mountainfilm of Telluride, CO is bringing their festival to the island of Hilton Head. Screen action-filled and inspirational documentaries at Coligny Theater on February 11 from 4 pm – 9 pm. Begin with hors d’oeuvres and be sure to stay for the silent auction. Funds raised will benefit educational opportunities for children in need.
